Rural Community Development Society (RCDS) was founded in 1995 and registered (Through Societies Registration Act 1860) in 1998 having head office in Lahore and project offices in the 16 Districts of Punjab. RCDS is a community development entity that implemented different integrated program/project at grassroots level. Since 1998 to December, 2015 organization implemented development projects and Micro Finance Services. Later Micro-Finance Portfolio shifted to another sister concern Rural Community Development Programs (RCDP) a Non-Banking Finance Company. The organization has been working with different national and international donors i.e. Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) 521 million, Agribusiness Support Fund (ASF) 46 million, Unilever Pakistan Limited 1.5 million, Engroo Foundation one millions and respectively FAO-UN 20 million, UNDP 40 million, Embassy of Japan 17 million, The Asia Foundation 11 million and Plan Pakistan 04 millions and Govt. of Pakistan PSDF, State life, Ehsas program. Hence total projects amount in last ten years is 637.5 Through these donors we have implemented different projects i.e. Social Mobilization, Access to Justice (Basic Human Rights Protection & Awareness, Child Protection & GBV), Baseline Survey/ Situation Analysis, Emergency Relief & Early Recovery, Livelihood, Health & Education, Agriculture, WASH, distribution of dry and cooked food. The organization has implemented these projects in sixteen district of the Punjab.
